Agenda (Plan of attack)
Friday night around 7:00 pm, September 24th, we are planning to try and meet up at JCT Kitchen & Bar for a cocktail at the bar. Happy hour is sponsored by A Small Orange. There is no formal dinner, so if you want to have dinner, you will need to make reservations yourself. There are other restaurants within walking distance from here.
Saturday, September 25th is the day of the event, starting at 8:00 am. The space will be open before then, so if you want to come earlier (hey, it is a bar 'camp' after all) please feel free to do so. If you are going to present, write down your three to five worded topic and stick to any available slot on the big board. We will provide a map of the presentation rooms and also post the list of topic schedules at each break out location.
Our keynote address will be given by Aaron Hillegass of Big Nerd Ranch from around 8:45 to 9:15ish.
Our session schedule can be found at Cocoa Camp Session Schedule page. If you want to secure a speaking slot now, please email inquiry [at] cocoacamp.org, your name, session topic and a photo of yourself.
Depending on final attendee size, we can break out into a maximum of 5 rooms. With 5 sessions slots available, we can have a maximum of 25 presentation sessions. 2 larger sessions can host 40-50 seated each, plus another 40 standing each. We also have 3 more smaller sessions that can host a more intimate gathering, around 20 and 15 seated respectively. We will post the seating capacity on the big board so, please sign up accordingly at 8:00 am. The agenda schedule is posted in the sidebar to the right of this page.
All break out sessions will have a projector and screen. Projectors will have a screen capable of 1024 x 768 resolution. We 'might' have a microphone and speakers for the larger four session areas.
At 2:00 pm, the event is officially over. We need to be out of the building by 3:00 pm.
Catered Lunch (1:00pm to 2:00pm)
We will have an outdoor patio with picnic tables for eating. You can eat at your seat or outside at the picnic tables.
What should you bring...
Basically, not much, just leave the rest us to us. Please do bring your digital cameras, video cameras, HD video camcorders, laptops and microphones!
If you are planning on giving a presentation, you will need to bring your laptop and any necessary cords you might need. We will be providing screens and projectors, but if you like to bring your own projector, that's fine. All projectors are capable of displaying 1024 x 768 screen resolution and each will have a SVGA port. Speakers need to bring should bring your DVI convertor thingy.
